Noisy fan, January 12, 2012 By  Jerry - See all my reviews This review is from: Maytag : MEW6527DDB 27 Single Wall Oven - Black Nice appearance. It was purchased to replace an older Maytag wall oven. The cooling fan, which runs most of the time, is extremely noisy with a high pitch whine. A local repairman representing the factory examined it and said they were all that loud. If he replaced the fan, it would make no difference. My wife is very annoyed. The factory will do nothing for us and there is a 30% restocking charge if we return it. My wife says she will not be able to stay in the kitchen while using it. We found other complaints about the noise from this products on other websites. It arrived 11/23/2011 (day before thanksgiving). I had an intaller removing my old oven and the new one arrived as he was finished. It was installed and I was ready to cook my turkey. It is easy to use and seems to have more room in it then my old one. I am very happy with my choice and "Number1Direct" for getting it here before the holiday.
