5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect Replacement, September 25, 2010
My oven wouldn't light but all other igniters on stovetop and broiler were working so was hoping the igniter was the problem. Found this at Amazon and thought, what's the harm in trying. Received the product withing 3 days, very plain packing, no instructions so was a little intimidated about snipping the wires to connect with the supplied high temp wire nuts. Spent a good 5 minutes connecting the old connectors to the wires then replacing into the oven. Turned it on, saw an orange glow, then lit very quick. Been working perfect since installation. Very pleased with the product. Only suggestion would be to have a little bit of instruction or at least a note saying, connectors may vary, so use your old and connect with wire nuts. Not going to knock the product for that small suggestion though.

5.0 out of 5 stars Here are Easy Installation Instructions, January 7, 2012

This review is from: GE WB2X9154 Igniter for Gas Broiler or Oven (Tools & Home Improvement)
I took care & ordered the actual GE OEM part. Installation was simple, and I am not very mechanically inclined. UNPLUG THE RANGE. I started by removing the oven door, cooking racks and the bottom drawer. Then I removed the two thumb screws at the rear of the oven and slid the bottom cover out of the oven. I removed the screw holding the front of the burner to the oven. I then went down into the oven drawer and removed the two screws attaching the burner to the back of the oven wall (this is the worst part because they are kind of hard to access...I used a 1/4" nut driver). I disconnected the two ignitor connectors when I was done with the screws. Then back into the oven, I pulled the burner assembly into the oven for easier access to the ignitor. Remove the two screws attaching the ignitor to the burner. My new ignitor had no connectors so I had to cut them off of the old ignitor. I cut the wires as close to the old ignitor as possible to leave plenty of extra wire. Using the two... Read more

1.0 out of 5 stars Not A Genuine GE Part, November 4, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?)
This review is from: GE WB2X9154 Igniter for Gas Broiler or Oven (Tools & Home Improvement)
This item is represented as being a genuine GE part. The subtitle says, "by General Electric." The 2nd product image clearly shows a GE part and has the caption, "Genuine GE Part. If you receive this item not in a GE box, it is not as described. Careful of less expensive imitations." I guess I should have been leery, since 3 other reviewers stated that they were sent a non-GE part. However, I went against my better judgment and ordered it. The part delivered by SupplyLand was manufactured by SurfaceIgniter, not GE. I needed the part immediately, so I have kept and am using what I have been sent. However, if I had wanted a SurfaceIgniter part, I could have found it cheaper elsewhere on Amazon's website.
