I had multiple challenges, the height of any combo today is much shorter than what I had so I needed to build up the bottom or buy separate units that can look like a one unit which would close the 4" gap in the bottom to about 1" and I went and purchased a separate GE Microwave and Oven with the stainless steel trim kit which was a nice solution, after I pulled the old one out, I had a different problem. There was no 110V for the microwave in the cabinet. In a one unit like my old one and this one PT970SRSS, it is a one cord that connects both microwave and oven vs. separate units where the microwave runs separately on a 110v line and the oven is on 220/240v which I had.
