Several online guides suggested the ignitor was likely to blame. Sears had listed this as a replacement part to my Amana AGR5715QDS oven; however, once i ordered the part, the bolt pattern was slightly off. Also, the image is correct in not including a plastic connector. You will need to salvage the old connector and carefully remove the wires/pins and replace them with the new ignitor.Once I had this installed, I was still pretty hesitant to turn on the stove -- I had never fixed a gas appliance before. In true "What the Heck" fashion, I turned it to a low temperature with the door open waiting for the ignitor to kick in. Meanwhile I hid behind the door frame to the kitchen. It was a tense 10 seconds, but the little flame kicked on and my house didn't explode. Success! This part has worked perfectly for the last year. I will update this if it breaks... My wife was able to use it, but getting it to work at the right temperature was a pain.First I tried to replace the inside temp sensor, but that didn't do a thing. Then I read some articles at RepairClinic.com and found it was probably this part. It worked! If I had known the price at Amazon.com was so good, and the igniter was sooooo easy to install, I would have done it a LONG time ago. All you have to do is detach its cord and remove it via two bolts. Go for it!
