I hurt my back 2 yrs. ago and bending over to put stuff in my regular stove got to be a problem. I have a wood cookstove with a side opening door and thought it was just the ticket, so began my search. I found this Fagor and ordered it when we decided to redo the kitchen. It seemed really small before I got it, 24x24 exterior dimensions, (approximate interior: D 15&1/2, W 16&1/2, H 13), once it was in...not so small. I am able to use most of my bake/cookware except for my larger cookie sheets and such. If you entertain a lot, get 2. The side-opening door is wonderful. No more bending over or stretching over a door. It is both convection and regular bake. The temperature and setting knobs push in. It has a compact broil setting and a whole oven broil setting, a pizza setting, defrost, quick pre-heat,and others. A digital clock with timer and auto off. It a winner inspite of or maybe because of the no self clean function; it is very easy to clean just as the booklet states. I think it is engineered to perfection. One must use the booklet to get the right settings. Learning 24 hour digits for the hours is a stimulating challenge.The bread I bake comes out better than ever. The pans provided and their arrangement are excellent. A large family might need two but it's worth it! The Dutch Oven gift was nice but a dreadful color. |
