We installed the oven about 3 weeks ago. It replaced a 12 year old Whirlpool that could not be repaired because the mother-board is no longer available. The new Frigidaire (double stack wall model) is substantially the same. Not much to say. It works, it has clean lines, and the price was reasonable. Not a lot of whistles and bells but what the heck, it's an oven, not a mid life crisis sports car purchase. Wifey is a great cook and I have no doubt she could sling her excellent hash over a Coleman stove just as well.

Our 20 year old combination microwave/wall oven finally gave up the ghost on the broil element. While food was in the oven on the broil cycle, the element broke into two, and started arcing as all that energy tried jumping the gap. A quick response kept a fire from happening. We had replaced the bake element a few years ago, so I knew that it was a fairly simple job to replace the element. Lesson # 1 - if one of your elements fails, buy both and replace them both at the same time!
Get the oven model number located on a manufacturing plate inside the oven door to search for the correct GE part number for the broil element. There are any number of web sites that will give you a reference to the correct broil element part. Most of these sites also want $35 - $40 for the item. It also turns out that GE has several ovens (ours was one) that can use more than 1 of the broil element part numbers -- they're somewhat interchangeable. In fact, ours was WB44X173, but the two... An older Hotpoint with starting model number RB747**** would not cross reference at even GE's website. Measured the old part to 16"x 12" and using the key search term "self-cleaning" led me to this part. Blindly ordered and it luckily fit and finished fine. I used a non-corrosive oven cleaning spray because I had some time to soak, and now its like a new oven.

Very glad we selected Electrolux, the quality is notch and looks great installed, the blue interior sets it off and the ball bearing glide racks are so nice and have openings for grabing with an oven mit, this feature was the main reason we initally considered Electrolux. Touch pad is really cool, lots of other unique features we are looking forward to using like the Dehydrateor. If considerating other ovens, the Electrolux is well worth the extra investment in the long run, buy quality.

The moment I saw this oven on the showroom floor I knew it was the one. (Everything else in our remodel changed over time, but with this oven, I went with my first love.) And I love, love, love it still. We used it to bake a 22-lb. turkey at Thanksgiving and it was fabulous! I can't wait to try out all the features once the holidays are behind us. We bought the black model and it is beautiful. Our color accent is blue, so the blue interior and the blue clock light fit in perfectly. One small thing to mention is the digital clock light on the front is always on and at night is quite bright. As our oven is situated sideways and slightly back from the sitting and dining areas, this is not a problem, but if it were, say, within eye range while you were watching TV I think it could be a bit bothersome. Maybe there's a feature to lessen the brightness, but I don't think so.

Electrolux has finally replaced my wall oven. I have to say that when the previous unit was actually functional, it was wonderful. Very fast, near-perfect results on souffles, puff pastry, gougeres, Thanksgiving turkey, hearth bread, enriched bread, pizza. A few problems with the cooking results-- the Thanksgiving turkey bent the oven rack, causing it to magically roll towards me in subsequent uses. This was both dangerous and annoying. Heat in the oven was fairly even, but the right side definitely heated up more, necessitating a turn of whatever food I was cooking mid-bake.
Problem: my sensor and control panel continued to fail. I would receive the F5 and F10 error messages approximately 6 weeks after the sensor/ control panel combo were replaced. The only way of shutting off the oven (and stopping the annoying error-beep) was to cut off power from the breaker box.
